A kind and stalwart gnome, with a good heart and a clever mind. I would be troubled to betray him, though it seems unlikely to be necessary. He is one of few I feel I can confide in, and has thusfar proven himself a true friend.

The most open-minded of the Veilguard. She asked me questions I did not expect, and evinced an understanding of the answers with appropriate gravitas. I only wish we were not enemies. I will strive to save her; Bellara does not deserve to die.

The Warden

A member of the Veilguard. A derision for the Warden's ignorance has always been my weakness, and he has chosen to die for his noble cause, I therefore cannot expect him to understand. Even so, he has keen intuition. I owe him some respect.

A bard and friend of a friend. He seems fascinated by history and the history of music in particular. I appreciate his wise perspective on its preservation, while wondering what kind of mage he might have been. What makes him that color?

A patient from the incident of the volcano, willing to shoulder blame for his own injury. I healed him, and yet he seems to doubt me. An unusually gracious person.

My oldest and closest friend, brother of my heart. I killed him for the cause, but have since been proven wrong. One of my most pointless betrayals, and deepest regrets. One day, he may forgive me, and I will not deserve it.

A warrior with a mind as broken as it is strong. He views the world in a way that seems almost like that of a spirit. He arouses the wish, despite myself, to protect him, though I doubt he would appreciate that sentiment.

A dangerous apostate from a past twice-removed. Only a fool would not be wary of the potential he wields. He has no idea what he is capable of, nor what he will come to know.

We shared a journey together, once, and he proved a stalwart and subtle ally. I cna only imagine what he thinks of me now— and if we can be friends in truth, rather than as a matter founded on deception. Despite everything, I find that I cannot fear him.

Though she considers herself to be cursed, she seeks to use what others fear in pursuit of altruism. I must wonder how deeply her heroic streak goes; regardless, her intentions are admirable. One to watch.

A healer of no insignificant power and skill. She holds a position of seniority and tacit political power amongst the Visitors. Cultivating her good regard would be wise, but I am wary of her influence. We shall see how this plays out.

A fellow member of a pantheon of so-called gods, influenced by myth and memory even as spirits are. We share a fascinating kinship and I find myself torn between plotting his destruction and wondering what it would be, to be truly as brothers.

A reserved professional who nevertheless has made his derision for me clearly known. His loyalty is firmly with Rook, an opportunity all on its own. So be it.

A spirit of Spite, or perhaps Determination, housed firmly within the mortal form of Lucanis Dellamorte, and likewise loyal to Rook. We have not met, but I will offer to free them from one another, if it wishes.

He likes wolves and that automatically makes him a good person. I will be taking no notes on this.

An impulsive and violent person, prone to bouts of public confrontation. Appears to think with her fists, or not at all. A brute. Associate of the Veilguard.

A friend of Vax'ildan, and an inventor of sorts. I appreciate his petty nature, and found myself invited to his munitions test. A potential friend.

Compulsive Irritant

Maribel "Rook" Aldwir

Leader of the Veilguard. I don't think she plans anything, and yet she still succeeds often enough that makes me want to die. Rook and I will never see eye-to-eye, and I wish I was less alright with that.

Oddly Loyal

Vax'ildan

I have not been flirted with in ten years, and even then it was not by a man, but here we are. He is a half-elf, a true hybrid, which is terrible and fascinating in equal measure. I would like to one day consider him as a friend.

A Voice of Reason

A voice of reason both for and against opposing the Leaders of this place. I admire his wisdom even while I cannot share his lack of motivation. Perhaps we may be allies in this.
